Privacy Notice for California Residents
This notice supplements the Orka Labs Inc. Privacy Policy and applies only to California residents. It explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard “personal information” as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, “CCPA”). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Privacy Policy or the CCPA.
1. Categories of Personal Information Collected
In the past twelve (12) months, we have collected the categories of personal information shown below:

Sensitive Personal Information (§1798.121): We do not collect or process “sensitive personal information” (e.g., precise health, government ID, or financial account numbers) for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you.
2. Sources of Personal Information
- Directly from you – account creation, forms, support interactions.
- Automatically – cookies, SDKs, log files when you use our websites or apps.
- Service providers – e.g., Firebase Authentication and Analytics supply user authentication status and aggregated usage metrics.
3. Business or Commercial Purposes for Collection & Use
We use personal information to:
- Provide & operate the Services (authenticate users, maintain accounts, deliver features).
- Improve & develop the Services (analytics, debugging, research, beta features).
- Personalize content and measure the effectiveness of communications and offers.
- Communicate service notifications and (with your consent) product updates or marketing.
- Ensure security & prevent fraud (detect misuse, protect against malicious activity).
- Comply with law and respond to valid legal requests.
- Corporate transactions – support a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, if any.
We do not use personal information for purposes materially different from those listed without providing additional notice.
4. Disclosure of Personal Information
4.1 Disclosures for a Business Purpose
During the last 12 months we disclosed the following categories of personal information to service providers (e.g., hosting, authentication, analytics, customer‑support vendors) under written contracts:
- Categories A, B, C, F, G, L
These providers are bound to use the data only to perform services on our behalf and to keep it confidential.
4.2 Sale or “Sharing” of Personal Information
- We do not sell personal information and have not sold personal information in the past 12 months.
- We also do not “share” personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising as defined by the CCPA.
- Because we do not sell or share personal information, the opt‑out right under §§ 1798.120 and 1798.135 does not apply.
5. Your CCPA Rights
California residents have the rights listed below. These rights are subject to verification and certain exceptions.

6. How to Exercise Your Rights
- Submit a request: Email privacy@hiorka.com from the address associated with your Orka account.
- Authorized agents: You may designate an agent registered with the California Secretary of State to make a request on your behalf. We may require proof of authorization and identity.
- Frequency limits: You may make up to two access or portability requests within a 12‑month period.
We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 days and respond within 45 days (or notify you if we need up to 90 days). Responses cover the 12‑month period preceding your verified request. Requests are generally free; a reasonable fee may apply to excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded requests.
7. Other California Rights (“Shine the Light”)
California Civil Code § 1798.83 allows customers to request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct‑marketing purposes. Orka does not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing. To inquire further, email privacy@hiorka.com.
8. Changes to This Notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. When we post changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, if the changes are material, provide additional notice as required by law. Continued use of the Services after an update signifies acceptance of the revised notice.
